2 Hours George Town Night Fun Ride Tour with Street Hawker Food

Discover George Town at Night - What are the things-to-do? Where are the places to go ? How to look for good local food stalls?

This tour is designed for night cycling experience and visit to some popular local food stalls in George Town.

To ensure the night cycling safety , Metro Bike bikes are decorated with energy saving multi-color LEDS lights which flashes all the time while cycling along the streets. All the cyclists are compulsory to wear reflective safety jacket and helmet during the ride.

At start, our tour guide will welcome you at the Swettenham Port building where our bikes are parked in front of the main entrance building of Swettenham Port.

In order to avoid the heavy traffic jams on the main streets, our bike routes have chosen going through some narrow streets and back lanes in the heritage areas. While cycling along the streets of the pre-war houses, you might observe the living habits and lifestyle of the people after work.

Later, we will arrive at a well-known local hawker food stalls for dinner. A great varieties of street food choices are offered here ; i.e. Penang Char Kaoy Teow, Chee Cheong Fun, Hokkein Mee, Curry Mee, Penang Asam Laksa, Ikan Bakar, Satay, Fried Koay Kat, Lor- Bak, Char- Hor Fun, Fried olyster-egg and delicous Ice-Batu Kacaang (ABC) deserts are also being offered here.

After the dinner, the cycling tour will pass-by a roadside durian fruit stall where you can request to stop-over for a taste of Penang branded durian species like Musang King, Red Prawn, Ho Lor, Butter, Kong Por and etc.

When the sunset is over, George town steets and buildings are lighten up with lights. The cycling tour will be heading to Chinese Clan Jetty which is located some distance away in core heritage zone. At night time, the clan jetty is usually lighten up by decorated red lanterns and LED lights. We will take a short rest at the end of the jetty which allows a little time for your stomach digestion before moving to the next food stop.

Little India is the next place stop over to view the night traders, some of you may consider shopping around while ordering for a long queue Indian food order.

Lastly, the cycling tour will be back to Swettenham Port. If the time allows, you can also visit to Fort Cornwallis and Esplande to enjoy the seaside breeze that is next to the port.
